“When my family and I decided to get our eyes done, there was no question in our minds to see Dr. Mazaheri at The M LASIK Center. His knowledge, skill and patient care is outstanding. Our eyes have never seen better. Without any hesitation I would recommend Dr. Mazaheri for LASIK surgery.” Internist at Plano Presbyterian Hospital, Tel. (972) 981-8215“As a physician I was very cautious about LASIK Surgery. When it came to my eyes I wanted surgical skill more than an advertisement. In 1999 my wife and I both had LASIK surgery with Dr. Mazaheri. It is one of the smartest moves we have ever made. Dr. Mazaheri is the best in our eyes and we recommend him to you without reservation.” Internist at Medical City, Tel. (972) 233-5651“As a Police Officer, perfect vision without relying on glasses or contacts is more than a convenience. If I lost my glasses or contacts in the middle of a pursuit, my ability to drive or fire my weapon accurately would be greatly diminished. So having good eyesight could save my life! Before surgery with Dr. Mazaheri, I had severe astigmatism in both eyes and very poor vision. After one procedure, I have 20/10 vision and never have to rely on contacts or glasses again. What a relief and a life saver. I highly recommend Dr. Mazaheri.”“Dr. Mazaheri did such an outstanding laser surgery on my eyes that I referred four other members of my family. We are all extremely happy with our results.” Dermatologist, Tel. (214) 691-6999“When I asked my colleagues who they trusted with their vision the answer was Dr. Mazaheri at The M LASIK Center. His patients never feel that they are getting the “conveyor belt” LASIK surgery that is so common with other ophthalmologists. After my procedure I now have excellent vision and a physician that my family and I can trust.”My surgery went very well, eye sight is 20/20 or very close. I had bad vision before and now 20/20 for the first time in my life. Very pleased with the results. But like Derick says, I was told the surgery was to be interlace which is the new laser technique to create the flap (and paid a higher price for the new technology). It is more accurate and has less risk of anything going wrong, like infection and incorrect cutting. Well when I got under the “knife” I could tell it was the blade because I could hear the circular motion of the machine. Interlace should have popping noises where the laser shoots a bunch of spots to separate the top flap, plus shouldn’t I see the laser? In short I am pleased with the results, but perhaps complete honesty is not a strong suit, thus overpaid for a cheaper procedure. 4 stars for performance, minus one for fudging the facts.I would totally recommend other people to go visit Dr. Mazahari if they are thinking about having lasik eye surgery. However I am still waiting for the final results, I am not seeing as sharp as I wish I was. Dr. told me that with time I should begin to see 20/20 It has been 3 weeks so I still have hope. However I should say that for the most part Dr. Naz (the female Doctor) is awesome taking time with patients. Dr. Mazahari Rushes out of there way too fast. It is hard to ask him any questions because before you know it he is already out the door. I hope that I do get the results I expected. The Dr. told me he gave me a great price I think it was still kind of expensive, but if the results are good then it will be worth it!I am writing to express my thanks and to communicate my complete satisfaction with my “no cut” laser surgery you performed on my eyes in August of 2010. My eyes were very bad (-12 with 5 diopters of astigmatism) and I did not even expect to be a candidate for the surgery when I went to your office for a consultation. You were very upfront with me, explaining that getting to 20-20 was nearly impossible, but 20-30 or even 20-25 was possible. I told you that unless I could be reasonably sure that I won’t need glasses for quite some time that I did not want to proceed. You told me that you were 99 percent sure I would not need glasses for 99 percent of the time. I felt very comfortable with this and I do appreciate that you managed my expectations about the procedure – I simply could not expect 20-20 vision given how bad my eyesight was to begin with. Five months later my vision is 20-25 and I never wear glasses. Just last week I went to the DMV and got the restriction for corrective vision taken off my license. It is a pleasure being able to see without glasses or contacts. Going to the beach with my kids used to be frustrating since I could not really see what was going on, now I can fully enjoy going to the beach.I had worn glasses and contact lenses for most of my life, and so I had very high standards when it comes to choosing a doctor for my eyes. Dr. Mazaheri fit my requirements and exceeded my expectations. The surgery was very easy, and the aftercare and instructions were extremely helpful. I have recommended Dr. M to my friends and relatives, and a few of them have undergone the procedure and have been equally happy.I can also read and can you believe it he did not even cut my eyes. Dr. Mazaheri is very confident at what he does which comforted me during the surgery. Also, very welcoming and patient staff. My prescription for my right eye was nearly -7, and my left eye wasn’t too much better. I had eye surgery done here on Thursday 24 March 2011 (with more work done on my right eye, just to hedge bets for safety). Immediately my eyes were a little better, and by the end of the weekend they were at least half better. By the end of March (one week after surgery) I was good to drive, even at night, as my vision was already close to 20/20 (using both eyes). From my friends who had similar procedures, I was expecting much more pain, sensitivity to light, and dry eyes. Although to be fair, I only slept and ate the couple of days following the surgery, and spent most of the time in my room, with a humidifier, and my eyes closed. On Thursday itself, when I left my room to eat, my eyes teared up a lot. That first night, I woke up in the middle of the night because of some pain, but I just went back to sleep. They told me, when I saw them the next day, that my tears were a reaction to dry eyes, and I should have used the artifical tears I had. However, after Thursday I had no problems at all, and so I never used the pain medication or artifical tears after the surgery time itself [Just to note, my two fellow patients who had the same surgery when I did, had a lot of pain the first two days, but were fine after that. They also said they never had the opportunity to get the rest they needed (apparently they never can, because they each have four kids)]. In case you’re wondering how I picked this place: I’ve had a number of friends over the years that had lasik, and my latest friend got lasek (e-lasik), but I was looking for a place that does PRK… and was happy to find out that this place, right next to UTD, specializes in it entirely. I asked my lasek friend about it, because I knew he did a lot of research on eye surgery options in Dallas, before getting lasek done at Carter. He was looking for the surgeons with the best reputations, and had the latest, greatest machines to do the work. From his research, he told me both Carter and Mazaheri were among the top five, and he would recommend either one. The only other person I talked to works for Dr. Mazaheri: Dr. Naz (to whom I am grateful for being a very patient doctor), told me her own daughter went here to get this surgery.Pre-surgery and post-surgery, Dr. Mazaheri and his Staff were great. Very hands on, professional, friendly, and you ger the feeling of genuine concern. I highly suggest LASIK eye surgery. Trust me, if I go from -13 and -15 to now 20/20 vision, I know Dr. Mazaheri can help you too.A couple of months ago, I made two of the most important decisions of my life. The first was to have Lasik surgery to correct my 20/200 vision. The second and, by far, the more important decision of the two was to have you perform the eye surgery. You were not the least expensive surgeon, nor were you the most advertised surgeon. You were not even the closest surgeon to my home. You were, however, the best surgeon. From the beginning of my initial office visit to the end of my last follow up visit, you made it abundantly clear that you were much more interested in correcting my vision than simply collecting a fee. Your unwavering commitment to perfection has combined with your dedication and perseverance to create a professional standard that few in your profession will ever achieve. Your success, Dr. Mazaheri, is clearly visible in the smiles of your patients. Some call Lasik surgery a miracle. Maybe, but if true, I respectfully submit that the miracle would be in the hand of God guiding the hand of a supremely gifted surgeon. Oh, did I mention that when you tested my eyesight five minutes after the surgery and it was 20/15? Remarkably, my vision has actually improved since then! For those considering surgeons for Lasik surgery, Dr. Mazaheri, you are the clear choice. With my sincerest respect and appreciation,I want to thank you for giving me my freedom back. I thought I would always have the restriction of having to wear corrective lenses for the rest of my life. I couldn’t even see my feet without them. I had been wearing corrective lenses since I was seven years old. I was in shock when I first found out I was considered legally blind without my glasses while dealing with stresses of starting high school. My eyes got worse through time and the ongoing damage finally came to end when my prescription reached 14.75 in both eyes. After extensive research about Lasik surgery, I decided it was time for me to go see a doctor. I made an appointment with a local doctor known for his Lasik surgery at low costs, which by the way charges $250.00 just for a pre-consultation. I was very disappointed after waiting for almost four hours followed by a quick two to three minute consultation with the doctor himself. He said, “You are not qualified for Lasik”, as he continued telling his assistant to “process my refund”. He did not explain why I was not qualified and no other options were explored. I was disheartened with his quick analysis and had begun to lose hope. I called many other local doctors (Lasik) offices in town but, just after listening to my situation, they all advised me not to even make an appointment as they could not help me. Then, I called your Dallas office Dr. Mazaheri, and asked if I can make an appointment I explained my situation to your staff over the phone, staff consulted with the doctor about my situation and asked me to come into the office for a FREE consultation. I was very pleased to see someone who was willing to at least do some due diligences before rejecting me. With no consultation fee and doctor still wanted to see me I had nothing to lose. To cut this long story short, I had a late appointment 6:00pm but I could not make it and called the office to reschedule for some other day. Instead you kept your office open and kept the staff until 8:00pm that evening to see me, for FREE. Dr. M. you and your staff are amazing and compassionate provider. To me a great doctor is the one who dedicates his time to each and every patient with genuine compassion. You not only waited but listened to my entire story, explained everything to my satisfactions and gave me choices at the end. I must have asked hundreds of questions and every time they were answered with great patience and I really admire this attribute. I was also very pleased that you performed the Lasik eye surgery work on me and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I knew exactly what was going to happen late 2005 and my life has changed in an incredible way without corrective lenses. I was and am so impressed with the results that I have referred many of very close friends to your office and they all are extremely satisfied with the results. You and your staff are simply incredible at what they do. I remember you telling me before the No Cut Lasik surgery, and that still sticks with me today. You said, “I want to put all the care I can in my patients so I can sleep peacefully at night”. I knew right away that someone very special is going to be taking care of me and my eyes. Thank you very much for everything.Dr. Mazaheri really is the best ophthalmologist! I am 31 years old, female, with a -13 power in both eyes,+3 astigmatism in my right eye, and +1.25 in my left. I went to two reputable ophthalmologists in DFW and they told me they could not do anything for my eyes. My power was very high making conventional lasik risky (with astigmatism to further complicate the situation) and ICL improbably since my eyes would not dilate big enough for the procedure. I was very disheartened at this point! My cousin told me about Dr. Mazaheri so I checked him out. Dr. Mazaheri said the best he could afford to accomplish was 20/30, but to both our surprise I was able to see 20/25 following the procedure! His price includes follow ups for one year so I saw him at least 4 or 5 times this year just to check up on things. I am doing just fine! I do not have the dry eyes that a lot of people get with Lasik procedures. At first they were dry, but now that has resolved. Worse comes to worse, you can receive plugs. I saw halos intially as commonly mentioned, but it gets better and better with time. Now, I have 3 family memebers and friends going to see Dr. Mazaheri as well. This procedure will change your life! I had Lasik this past summer by Dr. Mazaheri with terrific results. I just returned today from a follow-up checkup, which confirmed my new 20/20 vision. Before the procedure, my distance vision blurred objects beyond just two and a half feet away. As a result, I have worn glasses or contacts since the first grade (that is, for over 45 years!), yet my corrected vision was never as sharp as it is now — and I am free of contact lenses. I did not know what clear vision was until after Dr. Mazaheri’s surgery. His office and staff served me professionally in all ways, from the medical attention to billing and insurance matters to scheduling. All phases of the procedure were clearly explained to me all along the way, including the potential risks, the stages of recovery, and what my expectations should be as I reached each stage. I am a very happy, and grateful, patient. I am especially gratified by the sharpness of my vision during water sports and while golfing – or just simply while taking my morning coffee out to the patio to enjoy the outdoors, without lugging glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Mazaheri to anyone considering abandoning glasses and contacts in favor of seeing clearly as soon as you wake in the morning.I had my lasik eye surgery with Dr. Mazaheri today. I was extremely nervous going in, but the entire staff made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. They took great care of me and my eyes. They were extremely thorough in their assessment of my needs. The staff explained each and every step of the procedure and took the time to answer any questions and concerns I had. I am looking forward to my follow-up visits because I am confident that I will have great results. I highly recommend Dr. M to anyone considering the eye lasik procedure! I knew I wanted to write this letter the morning after I had Flapless Lasik eye surgery, but I just couldn’t seem to find the right words. I wanted to convey just how much you have changed my life. I had bad vision, and when I say that, it’s an understatement. Imagine growing up, not knowing trees had small branches, or that there were signs on the side of the road, telling you how fast to drive. I couldn’t figure out how the other kids in school saw the blackboard from their seat, I just knew that after class I had to walk up to the board and write down what I needed. My mother took me to the eye doctor in the 5th grade, and after they eye exam, he asked her how many times I had failed. In somewhat of an astonished and indignant voice she replied Never! He explained how bad my eyes were. We went back for my glasses later, and all the way home I read all the signs I never knew were there, and marveled at the complexity of those trees. I thought he had performed a miracle. When I was sixteen and in high school, I changed from those horrid, coke bottle glasses to gas permeable contacts. I could see even better. Wow, they were great until a speck of sand flew into my eye, or one slipped out of place. Talk about pain!!! But still, I thought they were a miracle. Two months ago, my husband finally managed to get me in to Dr. Mazaheri’s Dallas office to see if I was a candidate for No Cut or Flapless Lasik eye surgery. It took him about four years. I was certain I would be told my eyes were too bad, and even if I was told the procedure could be done, I would never be able to handle it. You see, I can’t even put drops in my eyes or put on eye makeup without my knees going weak. My husband actually wanted me to let someone perform surgery? Ha! He was nuts! I love him, but I was sure he was nuts! I underwent extensive testing, checks and re-checks, measurements and re-measurements, all done by Dr. Mazaheri. My vision was barely correctable to 20/50 with the glasses I wore, so I couldn’t drive. My husband drove me to all the appointments. We weren’t even sure it could be done. We had learned my eyes were ’14, and I would probably only be corrected to 20/40 or 20/50, and I would still have to wear glasses. If you knew how bad my eyes were, you would understand why I thought that would be great. I couldn’t even function without help when I didn’t have glasses or contacts. We decided it was worth it. The day after my Flapless Lasik, I was 20/40, and ecstatic to see this well. Four days later, I was 20/25, better than I have ever seen in my life. I can’t even begin to explain all the things I see now that I never knew were there. I don’t have to tell my kids, I missed it. I can focus faster; astigmatism makes it take longer to focus. I can drive. I can see my son even when he hides. I have peripheral vision for the first time. I have had my miracle. I chose you over other doctors because of the personal care that you offer. From the first time that I came to your office, you took personal interest in me as a patient. You examined my eyes, you measured my vision multiple times, you told me all about the surgery and the equipment, and you answered all my questions. When I went for the surgery, there you were, you did everything personally. And to me that makes a big difference.Yesterday I was visited a doctor here in Italy. The doctor told me that the Lasik eye surgery you performed was done very well. My eyes at only eight days from the surgery are very well. I only have dry eyes in particular in the morning just I wake up, so I use a lot the drops you gave me. I have finished the two antibiotics, but as Marco told me I must follow the same cure for the other three weeks. My doctor gave me a prescription the same that in Italy a different name. In fifteen days he wants to see me again. He suggests for seeing very well from near and small character to use glasses of +l/1.5d, and he also asks me if you can send me my documentation of the surgery.I am going to come with my family to Dallas, TX again in January. Can you tell me if you can make me a date for this period? I feel like a miracle woman. A kiss to you and to all your fantastic workfriends.Had the flapless procedure done in May, and very satisfied with the results. Felt like the price was reasonable, especially for the experience that Dr. Mazaheri brings to the table.I used Dr. Mazaheri to get my eyes done, other Dr.’s said it could not be done but Dr. Mazaheri accepted the challenge and now I have fantastic vision. After a bought with dry eyes, I am all fixed up now. His staff, Chris and others, have been amazing and he is really a very nice man. I loved not feeling like I was livestock being herded through the system. BTW, I get nothing from this, I just love Dr. Mazaheri and his staff! My vision has never been better. I went to Dr. Mazaheri in December for a consultation. After many questions which he answered everyone I decided to have his no flap lasik procedure. In late December I scheduled my surgery. The day of the procedure I was nervous, they were so professional and calmed me down. There was nothing to worry about It didn’t even tale that long. With in seconds of the sugary I knew that I had made the right decision. Weeks went by and i had issues with dry eyes like most patients have. They got really irritating, I call them and they saw me that day. Now its been 4 months and my vision is better then 20/20 just like he said it would be. Everyone in the office is so professional and helpful they treat you with the utmost respect. If I had to do it all over again I would still pick the M Lasik Center. I let everyone know that this is the place to have Lasik done if there thinking about it.I had PRK by Dr. Mazaheri in January 2012. Simply Amazing! I now see better than 20/15. Dr. Mazaheri personally met with me and answered all questions my wife and I had. He performed all the measurements himself the day of the surgery and the surgery went great. First couple days are a little rough of recovery, but very soon my vision was excellent and It keeps getting better. He is very up front and honest. No hidden costs or fees at all. He has met with me for all followup visits and always answers any questions I have. I have recommended him to all of my friends and family. I could not be happier with the results and the perfect mix of professionalism and personal touch at his eye clinic.I went in just to get an idea of what the operation would be like, and to ask some questions. I ended up deciding to go ahead and do it. They scheduled a check up for me the next week, and I had my operation the next day. Dr. Mazaheri was very nice, and very knowledgeable. The operation took 5 minutes, and was absolutely painless. I was very impressed, and the staff there are super nice. All in all it was a great experience. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.I want to add my voice to those who have publicly expressed their gratitude for a successful Lasik procedure and sincerely thank you for all you have done. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is a miracle how well I can see now! A miracle of science, but a miracle none the less.I am 30 years old and I have been wearing glasses from the age of 6 Years. Visited Dr. M for intial consultation. he and his assistant explained me all the advantages and the risks. This gave me a lot of confidence and got my lasik done the next week. They make it very easy for you on the surgery day. You do not even feel that you are getting a surgery done. The results are amazing. I will for sure recommend Dr.M…I have had the procedure done and I am extremely happy with the results. The actual flapless Lasik procedure is a little scary when it first starts but it doesn’t last long. However, the end results are totally awesome. After the Lasik procedure your eyes will hurt but do what the doctor tells you and within eight hours you will feel better and your eyesight will be better. I was amazed that I could start seeing things within eight hours without glasses. I talked to a lot of people that had Lasik eye surgery and I have heard nothing but good about it. I think it is great and I am happy I decided to do it. I will be happy to talk to anyone considering having this done. Come see me, I can see you.I believe in better living through better vision and have been a LIASIK surgeon in the Dallas area for the past 14 years. In my professional opinion, I believe that LIASIK surgery without the flap or cut is the ultimate experience in vision correction. I am such a stronge supporter of the particular type of LIASIK surgery that I even had this procedure performed on my own eyes.
